Chamber Honors United States Marine Corp
2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Division Camp Pendleton &
Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367 Camp
Pendleton
On July 3rd 1996 the San Clemente Chamber of
Commerce and the City of San Clemente adopted the
2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Division at Camp
Pendleton. The City Council formally passed a
Resolution supporting the “America Supporting
Americans” Adoption Program Adopting the United
States Marine Corps 2d Battalion, 4th Marines.
“America supporting Americans” was created to
establish an “adoption” program for every branch of
the United States Armed Services by a City. The
purpose is to bond Americans with the young men and
women who serve their country and is a bridge
connecting every American with a common goal of
morally supporting the men and women in the armed
forces.
